Description
The ADL Model ADV-20BH is a battery powered dispensing gun intended for the application of sealants, adhesives, potting compounds, and other materials packaged in 20 Ounce size Semco or Techcon cartridges, SEMKIT or TECHKIT packages. The unit is designed for usage in the aerospace and electronics industries and offers the convenience of a light-weight, powered dispensing solution without the inconvenience of an air hose. Each unit comes with (2) 18V lithium-ion batteries, a 20oz. threaded metal retainer, a 20 oz. threaded metal adapter piece, a charger base and cord. This version is higher powered for high viscosity materials.

Recommendations
The Model ADV-20BH dispensing gun is designed to be used with materials packaged in Semco or Techcon cartridges with a wiper plunger (WP) ONLY. Typically, pre-mixed and frozen sealants are packaged with a black P-plunger with which this gun is NOT COMPATIBLE. Aerospace sealants supplied in Semkit and Techkit packages are most commonly packaged with a wiper plunger (WP), which is the type that this gun is specifically designed for. Additional retainers for this unit can be purchased separately.

Operation
Before using the ADV-20BH dispensing gun, operators will be required to charge the 18v lithium-ion battery for the recommended 35 minutes. Remove the battery from the charger and insert into the bottom of the dispensing gun handle until it clicks, indicating the battery is fully-seated. Adjust the dispensing dial on the rear of the gun to the preferred dispensing speed 1-9 (1 = slowest, 9 = fastest).

Completely depress the release trigger on the handle with one hand and pull the push-rod all the way to the back of the dispensing gun with the other hand. Insert the filled cartridge into the retainer, attach the desired nozzle, and insert the loaded retainer onto the dispensing gun rotating clockwise. To begin dispensing, completely depress the power trigger on the handle. When all material has been dispensed from the cartridge, depress the release trigger, and turn the retainer counter-clockwise which releases the retainer from the dispensing gun. Remove the nozzle and the disposable cartridge. Dispose of any cured material in accordance with local regulations and instructions on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Stock item.
